2022 was another year full of renovation innovation, new trends, and successful projects. As we look forward to 2023, we recap the past year while gearing up for the new year ahead.

2022 Recap

In 2022 we’ve followed up on cabinet kitchen trends, the importance of booking your renovation contractors early, remembered the history of home renovations, explored countertop and backsplash material options, kitchen layouts, spring renovation ideas, and other simple upgrades to make your home shine throughout the entire year. Whether you’ve chosen us for a kitchen or bathroom renovation this year, we want to thank you for your patronage and look forward to serving you again in the future for any of our variety of service and for jobs great and small.

2023 Trends

This new year brings us many different and exciting renovation trends. Warm colors and smart kitchen tech are in with the development of kitchen appliances growing from touches faucets to appliances controlled by your smartphone. A vintage design choice returning include butler’s pantries, with a slightly less vintage element – large dine-in kitchen islands – making a stronger comeback. Bold patterns and backsplashes with colorful wallpaper, bright tile, or marble with unique veining being chosen over plain and perfect slabs.

Don’t leave your furry friends behind in your kitchen renovation! Pet adoption and ownership have increased over the last 2 years and home owners are now seeking improved home and kitchen designs to accommodate their furry family member. Increases in built-in pet-feeding stations can make a kitchen more pet-friendly for large families of fur-children.

If you’re feeling bold in your 2023 renovation projects, try bold trends like layering black elements, oversized handles and railing that also serve as an architectural piece, pops of unconventional color in vases or small appliances, or colorful wood stains for cabinets throughout the house. Either a traditional wooden stain or simply choosing a lacquer color for an ultra-modern, European look will be great ways to add color to a traditionally neutrally colored room.

Thank you to all of our clients who supported us through 2022. From the Bayshore Home Studios  team, we’re fortunate for your business and excited for what the new year will bring for us. From new kitchen and bathroom renovations to new design trends that redefine homes, we’ll be there every step of the way.
